Recently, the Huirui Metal+®50E-10 atmosphere-protected laser cladding equipment independently developed by Huirui Group (hereinafter referred to as "our company") successfully passed various test experiments at Huirui Hangzhou Company and was successfully delivered to a customer.
The Metal+® series is a laser cladding equipment independently developed by our company and based on fiber laser and multi-axis motion control. It is mainly used in direct molding of coaxial powder-fed metal products (3D printing), additive repair of industrial products, and cladding strengthening. , materials research, etc.
The environmental box equipment of this project adopts a high-throughput (five-cylinder) high-precision powder feeder with a minimum powder feeding amount of 2g/min, which can stably deliver 5-15μm light and ultra-fine powders such as magnesium and aluminum; it has strict and stable air tightness. It can ensure the stability of active metal and effectively prevent powder from being exposed to an oxygen environment. A more refined powder-feeding device ensures powder-feeding accuracy. The five-way online static powder mixing device can set various powder dosages according to customer needs so that various powders can be used. Mixing is more uniform and more convenient.

The equipment motion control adopts high-precision, high-protection, easy-maintenance, and beautiful-looking linear modules and open bus-type multi-degree-of-freedom motion control modules;
Specially designed for cladding operations with a controllable environmental atmosphere, the water and oxygen content can be reduced to 1PPM, dustproof, airtight, beautiful, and easy to maintain;
The powder feeder is the latest generation product developed by Huirui. It adopts a multi-powder cylinder turntable type carrier gas powder feeding method; it is specially used for high-precision laser processing powder feeding. It is equipped with a five-powder cylinder integrated powder feeding module, and the powder feeder control part is integrated into the overall control unit of the equipment.
It can realize real-time mixing of dissimilar powders, avoid powder separation during the powder addition process due to different specific gravity, and can also change the mixing ratio in real-time, and avoid waste caused by powder mixing that cannot be recycled.
The control method adopts industrial Ethernet, which has simple wiring, a low failure rate, and can transmit rich information, which can avoid the fluctuation of key parameters caused by the instability of traditional analog quantities.
Experimental test
1. Test material: AlSi10Mg
(Use the equipment to explore the aluminum alloy LMD printing and forming process. The equipment is used to detect the aluminum alloy forming conditions. All aluminum alloys can be formed within the appropriate process range.)
2. Metallographic test
The grains of the cladding layer are fine, and most of them are equiaxed crystals. The grains in the overlapping area between channels show a slightly larger trend. There are no pores and unfusion defects inside the cladding layer.
3. Hardness test
A Vickers hardness tester was used to detect the hardness distribution of the cladding layer section along the thickness direction. The experimental loading force was 50gf, the loading time was 15s, and the test hardness was around 95HV0.05.
