Application case overview

Molds are important molding tools for manufacturing batch products, and wear and deformation are the main causes of damage. Laser quenching has high power density and fast cooling speed. It does not require cooling media such as water or oil. It is a clean and fast quenching technology. Compared with induction quenching, flame quenching, and carburizing quenching processes, laser quenching has a uniform hardened layer, a hardness 3 to 5 HRC higher than ordinary induction quenching, small deformation of the workpiece, and is less prone to quenching cracks.

Repair name: Mold quenching

Taking the H13 mold as an example, the hardness before quenching is 50HRC, the hardness after laser quenching is 58~65 HRC, and the quenching depth is 0.3~0.9mm.

Laser quenching can ensure the overall toughness of the mold and effectively improve the local hardness of the mold. Our company has long been providing customers with laser quenching services for injection molding, stamping, and other molds, and has the following advantages:
1. After laser quenching, the hardness of the mold is greatly increased, and the wear resistance is improved;
2. The laser-quenched mold will not deform;
3. Laser quenching can meet the needs of complex molds and local processing;
4. Laser quenching can quench the mold on site;
5. For defective molds, additive repair can also be carried out.

Use a linear light spot to laser quench the wear-prone surface of the mold:
1. Hardness after quenching is 55~67HRC.
2. Effective quenching depth is 0.5~1.5mm.
3. The hardness gradually decreases as the depth deepens.
4. High efficiency, scanning rate can reach 240mm2/s.
